The 2008 Corvette Is More Agile

The 2008 Corvette is more agile and easier to toss around than the previous-generation model, benefits of its lighter weight, trimmer proportions, and refined suspension. The car includes larger wheels (18-inch in front, 19-inch in rear) topped by dramatic fender forms, with a crisp and tapered rear deck and fascia that support improved high-speed performance. Whether mated to a revised, easier-shifted six-speed manual transmission or an up-rated four-speed automatic transmission, the C6 offers thrilling performance throughout the rev band with a level of quiet, sophistication and fuel economy that set new levels for performance cars. It is warm and inviting and has double the life of conventional trim materials. Another point in common are the air scoops with honeycomb pattern in the front grill and in between the double twin exhaust pipes at the rear. A Delphi four-channel ABS system is standard, as is a very competent active handling system – complete with a Competitive Driving mode.
