C6 Corvette Blueprints

Couple all of this together with new flat top pistons at a higher compression of 10:1. The usual six-speed manual and automatic are both available, but pricing for the replicas and their options won't be revealed until a later date. Whether you choose Corvette Coupe, Corvette Convertible or the awesome 505 hp Corvette Z06, you'll be driving one of the world's great sports cars. A six-speed manual transmission is standard, with the six-speed paddle-shift automatic optional. Prominently placed directly ahead of the driver is a wonderfully large analogue tachometer, twinned by a matching speedometer.

General Motors (GM) says the car's awe-inspiring 7-liter (427-cubic-inch) V8 power plant is the most powerful passenger car engine it has ever produced. OnStar and XM radio are included with all 2008s, and there are new options and option groups, including a full leather-wrapped, two-tone interior. Amazingly, the 505-horsepower LS7 V8 will plod along in heavy suburban traffic and cruise effortlessly on the expressway pretty much like any "normal" car on your daily commute to the office. Its benefits include reduced emissions of greenhouse gases and a reduced dependence on petroleum. And with an unmistakably muscular appearance, the ’06 Z06 has a visual attitude that always looks ready to demonstrate Corvette’s winning attitude to any challenger around the globe.

And also auto parts features a distinctive look, and a dramatic fender forms and exposed headlamps combined with the grille and center-exit exhaust, round tail lamps, tapered rear deck, a rear spoiler and body color door handles to create a dramatic visual identity. The standard 18-inch front wheels and 19-inch rear wheels feature a Sparkle Silver finish, with a Competition Gray version optional. Chevrolet will produce 500 of the 30th Anniversary Pace Car in both coupe and convertible form. It is comprised of an unprecedented level of capability and technology, making it one of the greatest performance values on the market.

The brakes are visible through the ZR1’s exclusive wheels: 20-spoke alloy rims that measure 19 inches in diameter in the front and 20 inches in the rear. While the V-10 Viper is faster, the V-8 Vette wins the test, with extra points for its relative refinement and comfort. The Corvette is Chevrolet's -- perhaps' even GM's -- most widely recognized model.

It also differs from other production Corvette models with extensive use of lightweight materials, including carbon-fiber front fenders and a chassis comprised of aluminum and magnesium. The Z06’s hand-built LS7 aluminum-block V8 engine contains racing-derived components such as an eight-quart dry-sump lubrication system and titanium connecting rods. The Corvette is a two-seat sports car available as a targa-roof coupe, convertible, or high-performance Z06 hardtop coupe.

This car better be faster than a regular Z06–and I would expect that it would be with an extra 95bhp–because it’s pretty flawed as a concept. The 2008 Corvette is available in both coupe and convertible body styles. This affordable muscle car also has a six-speed manual transmission and four-wheel disc antilock brakes. Hot rodding owes a big debt to the Corvette; it was responsible for almost all of the higher performance parts ever to come from Chevrolet.

The Z06 gets the 505-hp LS7 V8, a lightweight chassis, and upgraded brakes. Using ethanol fuel to power high performance cars makes good sense. Add on the Z06 inspired dual-mode exhaust, and the new engine delivers an even rosier 436 horsepower.

Nestled inside the cylinder block is a forged steel crankshaft that delivers the LS9's 3. The 4-speed automatic with the Performance Axle. Care is needed while shifting into reverse due to its close position next to fifth gear, while the firm clutch has a somewhat long throw. Over 85% of the 2008 Chevy Corvette is new; enhancing what was already considered to be one of the finest sports cars in the world.

The new Corvette is perhaps the best value in the entire Sports Car arena. Ethanol also combusts at a lower temperature than gasoline, which means the engine, runs cooler. Running the car all the way to its 6500 rpm redline in first gear, then shifting to second for 60 mph produces no drama whatsoever.
